'The children were
spellbound' when Campion
author Jack Trelawny
visited Theydon Bois Primary School
on his popular 'Edutainment' tour

Kernowland author, Jack Trelawny, had a very successful visit
to Theydon Bois Primary School on 1st May
2008.
He spoke to 180 children in Years 3-6 about his
Kernowland series.
After presenting his lively and
interactive 'Edutainment' slideshow, the author
dedicated and signed 138
books!
Teacher, Alison Saggers, wrote to Jack with a report (see
below) of the children's reaction to the
visit...

'The children were
spellbound'
Dear Mr
Trelawny,
Thank you very
much for your visit to the school. The children were
spellbound by all that you said and showed them. They've
spoken about it every day since
then.
Following on
from one of your suggestions, for homework they drew
pictures of their own imaginary creatures. My class have
now taken this one step further and begun to write their
own stories based around the lives of their
creatures.
Please find enclosed some thank you letters from
the children in my class. The morning was a great success
and thank you once again for coming into the school and
inspiring the children to read and write their own
stories.
The children are eager for the 4th book to be
published.
Alison Saggers,
Teacher
Theydon Bois Primary
School
